Currently, there is significant variation in handwriting instruction in New Zealand from one classroom to another, and from one school to the next. Many students are left to form their own way of writing letters with minimal guidance, compromising legibility and speed.
Our lessons are designed by Belinda Blick-Duggan, a teacher and literacy specialist with 25 years' experience. Concerned that her daughter Sophie was not developing proficient handwriting skills, Belinda set about creating video lessons that would help her to master letter formation and develop writing fluency.
