Hi!

I’m Belinda Blick-Duggan, a New Zealand teacher and the founder of The Write Lesson. I trained in the late 1990s in Auckland and have worked in education ever since - as a classroom teacher, team leader, professional development consultant, and now as the creator of The Write Lesson. 

The Write Lesson grew from my work in schools and at home, after I identified a need for additional writing support for my daughter. Informed by research, the programme uses writing by hand as a key tool for developing reading, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, fluency, and confident written expression. 

Today, I design structured, practical literacy resources that use writing by hand as a learning tool that can be used by teachers and parents alongside any literacy programme.
